Tips to selling your home:
1. Price the home right- You don’t want to be the most expensive house in the neighborhood. Also, the longer your house is on the market the hard it will be to sell. If your house sits on the market longer than normal, buyers begin to think there is a problem with the house. It is important to have an experienced license Realtor to help you price your property to sell.
2. Clean up the clutter- You want the house to look spacious. This is to include your closest. Take down the high school clothes, the off season attire and put it in storage.
3. Always be prepared to show your house- Most of the time you will receive a notice hours prior to closing. However, sometimes the right buyer will drive by and want to take a look you need to be ready.
4. Don’t be there when the house is being shown-You might think your helping but you could talk yourself right out of a potential sell.
5. Painting the house- Buyers get turn off when the house has usual colors. Neutral colors are a must.
6. Make the needed repairs to the house- It may only be a $10 piece of trim that needs to be fixed but it is something negative that would stick out in the buyers mind.
